Cryptocurrency exchange operator INX has appointed Galaxy Digital veteran Renata Szkoda as chief financial officer.
Szkoda most recently served as finance director at financial services and investment management firm Galaxy Digital (GLXY.TO). She is also co-founder and chair of the Global Digital Asset and Cryptocurrency Association, a global self-regulatory association in the crypto industry.
"INX not only has a very talented, driven and experienced team to really execute what they set out to do," Szkoda said in an interview with CoinDesk. "They also have a proven track record of issuing the first digital securities in a fully regulated, SEC-registered environment."
Following the acquisition of Tokensoft's Securities and Exchange Commission-registered transfer agent earlier this year, INX is among a handful of crypto companies that can issue, list and trade securities, as well as support the back-end administration and record-keeping processes required by U.S. regulators.
"Renata offers extensive financial regulatory experience and is a leader in finance, clearing, treasury and operations for broker-dealers and brokerage firms across multiple asset classes, including digital assets, securities, regulated futures, foreign exchange products, financial derivative instruments and more," Shy Datika, co-founder and CEO of INX, said in the press release. "Renata is the ideal fit for INX, especially at this critical stage of our company's growth."
