Bitcoin is currently trading at around $38,400 at the time of writing, which is up 1.7% in the past 7 days, but it’s still below the $40,000 resistance level that the bulls were looking to break, and down from the $44,000 resistance level achieved earlier this week. Despite the small dip, Bitcoin received a huge stamp of approval from the legendary co-founder Steve Wozniak. Wozniak co-founded Apple in the mid 1970s, becoming one of the most successful companies of all time, and is still embarking on new milestones today… recently becoming the first company to reach a $3 Trillion dollar valulation. Wozniak left Apple in the mid 80’s to embark on other ventures, eventually becoming a successful investor and philanthropist …but has always kept his a pulse on what’s going on in the computer space.
Wozniak, more commonly known as Woz, is a self-proclaimed geek and pessimist, but had high praise for the leading cryptocurrency. In an interview with Business Insider, Wozniak considered Bitcoin one of the only cryptocurrencies acceptable to an economically conservative strategy, and called it “pure mathematical gold.” This isn’t the first time that Wozniak had bullish remarks for Bitcoin. In October of 2021, he told Yahoo! Finance that he liked Bitcoin because it’s embedded in "science, math, logic, and computer programming" and supply cap. In another presentation, Woz declared “Gold is limited and you have to look for it; Bitcoin is the most amazing mathematical miracle. I do not invest in Bitcoin, but I believe in it for the future”.
