Gareth Soloway: "This Is Looking Just Like 2008 Again"
The markets have been getting tumbled, both crypto and traditional… and Fed Chairman Jerome Powell confirmed that there’s no end in sight and even took it a step further by stating the ‘end’ may be a recession to the extent of which we don’t know. Powell’s comments combined with conflict in Ukraine and Europeans barely being able to afford energy utilities as winter approaches sets up a very grim outlook. The stock market is reflecting the hawkish news, as it turns down and while many believe the crypto market will decouple from the stock market, trader turned full-time YouTube analysts Gareth Soloway, told Kitco news back in August of 2022 that the crypto market will follow indeed follow the stock market and that the stock market will turn down heading into 2023. Despite the optimism of Ethereum’s merge, the markets only shortly reflected such a major event in the crypto industry Gareth took to Kitco news once again to not only briefly say ‘i told you so’, but also to explain why this occurred, stating that people really have no idea what’s going on in this bear market and expectations should be curbed while the markets recover. Gareth also went on to give his post-analysis on the post comments from Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, and what we can expect next.
