The much anticipated ETF has the crypto world on edge to see just what exactly the institutions will do. Many pundits believe the institutions won’t jump right in, while others believe the pundits are chomping at the bit. Cathie Wood, CEO and CIO of Arkk Invest, shared her thoughts on what’s coming with the institutions. Cathie understands intimately the difficulty of getting an ETF approved, as her own spot bitcoin ETF, Ark 21-Shares, was denied without much interaction from the SEC, according to Cathie. However, Cathie says now the SEC is changing their stance and actions on the approving ETFs. In an interview with CNBC, Cathie revealed that the SEC is now in an open dialogue with her to learn more about crypto, which gives her immense confidence that the SEC will approve the Blackrock spot ETF. Once the ETF is approved, Cathie believes the liquidity will be the driving factor to why institutions will come onboard. Of course there will be institutions that will hoard and copy the strategy of Michael Saylor and Microstrategy, but Cathie believes the majority of institutions who jump in will love the access to get in and out of Bitcoin easily, and partake in what many believe to be one of the most revolutionary financial inventions of all time.
