The old adage says “buy the rumor, sell the news”, but in Bitcoin’s case, it appears that people are selling the rumor. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading for $43,132.64, which is down 4.8% in the past 24 hours. But in the past 24 hours, Bitcoin dipped from $45,412.22 to $41,804.95 in just a matter of hours after word began to circulate on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the much-anticipated Bitcoin ETF was due to be rejected because of the Democratic party. Although no one knows without almost certainty, it has been widely assumed by many pundits and experts that the Bitcoin ETF will get accepted, which along with the halving, has many people seeing Bitcoin reaching that coveted $100,000 mark. As a guest on the Wolf of All Streets podcast, Macro expert Raoul Pal suggested that the rumor is not what caused the sudden dip. Raoul believes this is the standard play of too much leverage in the system, everything is normal and there’s no need to panic. After the sudden movement with Bitcoin, Raoul referred back to the bull run in 2015 and saw a similar pattern, which gave him more reassurance that this sudden dip isn’t too out of the ordinary for Bitcoin. Raoul also expressed where he sees the market going from here.
